Attendance
Attendance
State law requires children between the ages of six to sixteen to attend school daily. A student's absence from school must be verified by the parent/guardian with a written note, phone call, or personal visit. Parents are requested to contact the school office on the first day of their child's absence and send a written excuse upon the child's return to school. When calling the school to report an absence, you may leave a message on the school recorder. Please give the child's name, your name, the teacher's name, and the reason for the absence. Early Sign Out
Parents wishing to have their child excused before the end of the school day are requested to notify the school and pick up their child at the school office. This is for the child's protection. It is the policy of the district that no child may leave the school grounds at any time after arrival at school without the direct knowledge and expressed consent of the office. A parent or other authorized adult must sign for the child's release in the office. Please be aware that only adults (above the age of 18) who are noted on the emergency card will be allowed to check out a student. |
Tardies
A student arriving late to school should have a note of explanation and must check in at the office before going to class. Since tardiness can affect a child's academic performance, we urge that every child make serious effort to be at school on time. |
